There is a high cost to expensive actors & actress's to have famous actors in a movie but really adds the price of a movie tickets higher and higher with little respect to ticket goers verus actors salaries in total greed. Some of these actors are so popular, that just associating the name of an actor with that movie can make that movie popular as well but it comes with a price to pay for it. In addition, the character of the actor spreads its budget so far and expenses throughout the movie it causes the price people pay at the movies to pay for their royality to be in the film. Celebrities are the attention seekers valued for the position they hold in society. People cross various limits for just getting a glimpse of them sometimes. Starting with actors according to Forbes Magazine, Matt Damon will be earning $29 million per film now onwards. His role in the first two Bourne films has netted $850 million and the third is now on the top of the U.S. Box Office. The second on the list is Brad Pitt falling a place down and pocketing $24 million per film today whereas Vince Vaughn is on the third position after a tie up with Johnny Depp of Pirates of the Caribbean. Backing them up are the handsomest named Mel Gibson and Tom Cruise earning of salary of $30 million per film. The one-time famous heroes Brad Pitt and Leonardo Di Caprio earns $20 million plus per movie adding up 20 percentage of the gross box office turn over per movie. Jim Carrey was the top-earning actor collecting $39 million for his role in Cable Guy in 1996. Presently we have Tom Hanks who after the Da Vinci Code is being paid somewhere in the range of $29 to $49 million for the upcoming movie Angels and Demons. Similarly, even after a flop Rendition in 2007 Reese Witherspoon is also another greedy actress. She earns not less than $15 to $20 million per movie whereas Angelina Jolie another greedy actress wants $15 million per film plus royalities; even Cameron Diaz is third having a price tag of $15 million per film plus royalities accepts nothing less. Nicole Kidman of New York won Oscar award in 2002 for Virginia Woolfs The Hours was highest paid in 2006 but has dropped to fourth position to a salary of $10 to $15 million per film and it hoping to skip to $20 million per film too. Think these actors and actress care about the poor recession economy and high unemployment in the US, not a dime. They demand people to pay their high salaries to live the expensive lifestyles to be the people they want to be. Imagine what they would do if they had to make $8.00 an hour at Wal-Mart or McDonalds, think they would changed their liftstlyes from 5 star hotels, private jets and year around travel to work for $8.00, not in a second.
It is sad we live in a country of greedy actors and actress's that think nothing about money. What a shame.
